  Super Bowls are a time for leaders to step up. And for heroes to me made.  But they’re not real heroes. They’re football players. And most of them are not real heroes.  But a generation ago, there was a real hero playing in the Super Bowl.  A true legend. And that legend was established the moment he stepped back on an NFL field. And was elevated after he made it to the Super Bowl. And after he won FOUR of them.  Against all odds, he became the only purple heart recipient in history to win a Super Bowl. And the only one to win FOUR! For more than two years, he drove himself. Little by little he overcame obstacles and fought his way back. He not only made the Pittsburgh Steelers, but also eventually became a starting running back on a team that won four Super Bowls and became the greatest football team of the 20th century. The hard lessons Rocky Bleier (@RockyBleier) learned early in his life that helped him overcome adversity and reach his goals, have paid off after football. These lessons are seen between the lines in the popular book on his life, “Fighting Back” and on stages of speaking appearances around the country. Rocky Bleier is a true hero. A true champion.   Unit culture is defined by leaders. Whether it’s a football team, a police force, a Congressional office or a cable news network. Or a country.  And for more than a decade, the unit culture at one of the biggest cable news networks in America, at the most important times in our recent history, was defined by one leader. One leader whose leadership influenced the broader culture across not just her network, but all news media, across our politics, and across our culture.  One person who was trusted (and sometimes hated) but always watched and deeply respected by millions of Americans. As 2022 winds down, we’re all ready for a little break. And as we recognize the festival of lights, and get ready for Santa, we’re getting one more holiday surprise this year. And that means it’s STILL time to stay vigilant. Ahead of Zelensky’s historic and important visit Wednesday, December 21, 2022 to our Capitol to talk about the current war, veterans of our last war were camping outside to beg our government to honor its commitment to us and our allies. To demand passage of the #AfghanAdjustmentAct. Maybe Zelensky can visit with our veterans and allies camped outside. And maybe he can get President Biden to do the same. Since he still hasn’t yet. Our politicians have failed to get this done. Zelensky is a man of action. Maybe he can get it done. #WTF #SaveOurAllies It would be an amazing holiday surprise–and a winter blast of joy! Which is what the world cup final turned out to be! What a beautiful thing. That was the greatest sporting event we’ve ever seen. The quality, drama and magnitude was unprecedented. It’s been a long time since something has given so much of the world so much joy and positive excitement. And a truly incredible global moment. The most globally shared thing we’ve had on Earth in a long while.   Tis the season, to remember all the people on the front lines this holiday. When so many are celebrating. So many are standing guard. The French remember that. It’s why 80 years later, when French president Macron comes to the US for a state visit; he meets with and thanks American veterans who were part of the greatest generation that liberated France.
